Midtown Vineyard partners with The Food Pantry at Northwood through volunteering, donations and offering a prayer table for Food Pantry clients.   The Food Pantry at Northwood has distributed food to our community facing tough economic challenges since 1980. In 2010, the Food Pantry helped feed over 10,000 people.   Hours: Saturday mornings: 9 am to 11:30 am   Here are ways you can volunteer and serve:  Volunteer as a Helping Hand during hours of operation on a Saturday morning. Or, assist in various preparations prior to Saturday morning. Pray with clients at the Prayer Table. Donate Funds and Food Items to help provide families with a variety of needed food items. Prepare Baked Goods/Refreshments that are given to our clients and to volunteers who attend the Food Pantry every Saturday morning. Greatly appreciated! Every December, the Toy Store offers an opportunity for clients of the Food Pantry, to provide age-appropriate Christmas toys to children in their care. Serves ages newborn to 12 years old. For more information on becoming involved with The Food Pantry at Northwood:  Call (317) 283-1352.   Operation Backpack Midtown Vineyard's Operation Backpack distributed 25 backpacks to school age children of the Northwood Food Pantry clients.  The children were excited to receive not only their backpacks, but a copy of the Holy Bible, as well.  Thanks to all who helped make this endeavor such a success.
