Alpha: The summer session of Alpha began on Tuesday, May 11, at 6:30 pm at the church office. Alpha is a kind of "Christianity" 101 that's great for believers at any stage in their journey. Alpha helps people better understand and share the basics of our faith. Alpha begins with a short meal, followed by a teaching/talk, and ends with small group discussion. It's also a welcoming and safe place for non-believers or nominal believers to investigate Christianity. Some of the topics include: Who is Jesus? Why Did Jesus Die? How Can I Be Sure of My Faith? Why & How Do I Pray? Why & How Should I Read the Bible? You are welcome to "jump in" at any time. Come join us for an enjoyable time of fellowship and learning.
Women of Midtown: The women's group continues a Bible stud called Seeking Him. Our personal time with God is often short and hurried, and we miss out on the intimacy the Lord desires. Seeking Him shows believers how to enjoy a dynamic, intimate walk with Jesus. In this study, some of the topics include: Revival: Who Needs It?; Coming to God on His Terms; Repentance; Holiness; Obedience; Living in Peace; Forgiveness; The Joy of Purity; Christ's Life for Mine; Staying in Shape Spiritually; God Is for Us, etc. All women of the church are encouraged to come.
